Bio

Sandra Dionísio is a ceramicist who lives in Loulé. Her work is inspired by the observation of nature: its organic forms, elements of flora and fauna, and the colours and textures she finds in the landscape.

Between nature observed and nature reimagined, she creates pieces that combine familiar elements with intuitive forms, sometimes using elements of the landscape itself to shape or mark the material. In this way she explores her relationship and interconnection with the natural world, seeking to give form to the wonder and the inexpressible she finds there.
